Hemp builders and advocates of sustainable building remembered Austin, TX-based eco-architect Pliny Fisk, III, 82, who died July 27, for his support for hemp-lime building practices that helped Austin become a leader in adopting hemp lime in city building codes.

Architects, builders and hemp homeowner hopefuls gathered in Austin July 11 at a landmark event celebrating the city’s formal adoption of hemp-lime construction (commonly known as “hempcrete”) into its residential building codes.
