Hemp Blocks Redefine Building Performance and Comfort
Hemp-based materials do not only address environmental challenges; they also solve issues that are often poorly covered by conventional construction methods, such as summer thermal comfort and acoustic comfort. We are not just reducing the environmental impact of construction — we are going beyond it and redefining building performance and comfort.
What was a win for your company in the past year?
IsoHemp focuses on quality and on adapting to the demanding standards of mature construction markets. Our products are specified in increasingly ambitious projects, including multi-story buildings, which clearly demonstrates the growing credibility and technical maturity of hemp construction.
What is something about hemp building/construction/processing you didn’t know a year ago?
What has become even more evident over the past year is the significant impact of hemp construction on summer comfort and energy savings during heat waves.
This aspect is increasingly mentioned by designers and clients and has clearly emerged as one of the strongest differentiating factors compared to conventional construction solutions.
The market often focuses on only part of the equation — for example thermal performance alone — or relies on habits deeply rooted in conventional construction, such as the belief that a building must be completely airtight.
The solution lies in a constructive and continuous educational approach toward all market stakeholders. This requires a major effort in simplification, popularization, and appropriation of technical concepts, so that architects, engineers, and contractors can fully understand, trust, and ultimately change their mindset toward hemp-based construction.
