Hemp builders and advocates of sustainable building remembered Austin, TX-based eco-architect Pliny Fisk, III, 82, who died July 27, for his support for hemp-lime building practices that helped Austin become a leader in adopting hemp lime in city building codes.

The city of Austin, TX on April 10  officially adopted hempline (hempcrete) in the city’s Building Technical Codes as an innovative building material to be used in local construction.
