European Forum on Hempcrete Architecture - Technical University Munich

The Professorship of Architecture and Designwill host the European Forum on Hempcrete Architecture on 5–6 February 2026 at the Vorhoelzer Forum at the TUM Department of Architecture.

The two-day forum brings together architects, researchers, engineers, and practitioners from across Europe to explore current developments and future perspectives in bioregional and regenerative building with hempcrete. Embedded in ongoing research at the Technical University of Munich, the forum serves as a platform for exchange between architectural practice, material innovation, and academic research.

The program will run from Thursday, 5 February, 09:00, to Friday, 6 February, 13:30, and will combine thematic panels, invited talks, and round-table discussions, complemented by informal moments of exchange.

Topics will range from hempcrete architecture and building practice to material research, standardization, value systems, and education, addressing both applied and theoretical perspectives. Shared meals and social formats will create space for conversation beyond the panel setting.
